John Puller: Combat Veteran and Military Investigator
John Puller is an experienced combat veteran and the best military investigator in the Criminal Investigative Division of the US Army. His family history is fraught: his father was a legendary soldier and his brother is serving a life sentence for treason in a military prison. Despite this, Puller has an indomitable spirit and a strong drive for truth.
In a remote area in the West Virginia coal mines, Puller searches for justice together with a local female detective, who knows her own demons, investigating a brutal crime in which an entire family was murdered. What Puller discovers is a web of lies and endless deception, where nothing and no one is what it seems. The case turns out to be part of a large-scale conspiracy that extends beyond the borders of the village.
