Terms and Conditions of Delivery Intertaal BV

General
Since 1962, Intertaal has been an established supplier, publisher, and importer of high-quality language learning materials. With a team of approximately 40 dedicated employees, we serve both educational institutions and professionals in the Netherlands and Belgium on a daily basis. We strive to provide effective learning resources that contribute to successful language learning and professional development.
We act in accordance with the Trade Regulations of the Royal Association for the Promotion of the Interests of the Book Trade, which underscores our commitment to fair and transparent trading practices.
These general terms and conditions of delivery have been filed with the Chamber of Commerce Lelystad (no. 33107033) and are available at all times at www.intertaalid.nl .
Application
These terms and conditions apply to all orders, providing a clear and consistent framework for our transactions. Deviations are only valid if agreed upon in writing. Our terms and conditions prevail over any purchasing terms and conditions of customers, ensuring a consistent basis.
Placing an order implies acceptance of these conditions.
Prices
All prices are shown in euros, including VAT. Prices are subject to change due to external factors, such as currency fluctuations.
Costs
Any reasonable additional costs necessary for the performance of the agreement may be charged to the buyer after prior communication.
Delivery and delivery time
In-stock items are usually handed over to the carrier within 48 hours. The expected delivery time within the Netherlands is approximately 2–3 business days. For international deliveries, the delivery time depends on the specific carrier.
Shipping is at the buyer's risk. Unpaid payments may result in delivery being suspended or prepayment being required. Postage costs will be charged based on current PostNL rates. International shipments require prepayment and may incur additional charges.
Payment
We offer various payment methods for orders placed through our website: iDEAL, Bancontact, and credit card. These options ensure fast and secure processing.
For business customers, payment terms are 14 days after the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed. This allows us to offer flexibility and convenience to our business customers.
If the payment term is exceeded, an interest of 2% per month will be charged, increased by extrajudicial collection costs of 15% (with a minimum of €150).
Cancellations
Cancellations are only possible after written confirmation and with the express permission of Intertaal BV
Advertisements
Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 3 days of receipt of the goods. Use or resale of the products is considered acceptance.
Returns
Personal orders placed through the website can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The customer bears the costs and risk of return shipping.
For business customers, returns are only possible with prior authorization and must be requested within 7 business days. Only returns with an approved returns form will be accepted. Please note that multimedia products cannot be returned.
Rental
Renting out delivered products is not permitted without the prior written permission of Intertaal BV
Liability
Intertaal BV's liability is limited to a reasonable proportion to the agreed price of the agreement.
Force majeur
In the event of force majeure, Intertaal BV is not obliged to deliver and is not liable for any damages.
Retention of title
All delivered goods remain the property of Intertaal BV until full payment has been made. The buyer is not entitled to dispose of the goods until full payment has been made.
Applicable law and competent court
All agreements are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless Intertaal BV chooses to bring the matter before the court in the buyer's place of residence.
Conversion provision
If any provision of these terms and conditions is deemed to be unreasonably onerous, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, except that the provision in question will be amended in accordance with the law.
