Transatlantic Relations Since 1945 Jussi Hanhimaki provides a clear and comprehensive overview of transatlantic relations from the end of the Second World War to the present. This textbook covers the multifaceted relationship between the United States and Western Europe in the second half of the 20th century.
The analysis focuses on three central themes: security, the economy, and the influence of 'soft power'. The work highlights the reciprocal dynamics without emphasizing dominance or resistance, and places transatlantic relations since 1945 in their historical context.
