About the story
Julia Bishop, recently widowed and financially ruined by her husband's fraudulent Ponzi scheme, stands at the beginning of a new life. When a stranger offers her a job as the caretaker of his mother, the famous and eccentric horror author Amaris Sinclair, she accepts this unique opportunity – even though the world believes Amaris has passed away.
