About the author
Aviva Petrie is a senior lecturer and head of the Biostatistics Unit at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London. She is also an honorary lecturer in medical statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has written, among other things Medical Statistics at a Glance.
Paul Watson is emeritus professor and a respected scientist in reproductive biology at the Royal Veterinary College, UK.
