Spotlight on First is a fully comprehensive course that has been revised to align with the new Cambridge English exam requirements from January 2015. This course is suitable for both adults and younger learners who want to prepare to excel in the updated exam. An exciting new feature of this revised edition is the Ideas Generator. To successfully complete the Speaking and Writing papers, candidates must generate ideas. The Ideas Generator uses National Geographic videos to pique students' interest in common exam-related topics. This helps them develop ideas about these topics and gather the language needed to write or speak effectively about them. After each video lesson, students have a collection of ideas, functional language, and vocabulary related to eight exam-specific topics. One of the most challenging parts of the exam is the Speaking Test. The Speaking Test videos and worksheets prepare students by engaging them in simulations of all four sections of the Speaking Test.
