Quem Conta um Conto Acrescenta um Ponto: Educational and Unique
"Quem Conta um Conto Acrescenta um Ponto" is an innovative educational project that serves as the first of three playful, educational extensions within the field of oral literature. The initiative builds on written texts from the rich Portuguese oral tradition. This project encourages recreational reading and creative writing for both young and adult students, using a communicative and action-oriented approach. This allows both teacher and student to actively participate, emphasizing informal learning and skill development outside the traditional classroom setting.
Aim and Method
The program focuses on the autonomy of the student, who must proactively manage their learning process and be able to determine, together with the teacher, appropriate ways to continue their learning outside the standard educational context. This approach promotes lifelong learning and self-direction.
Part I: Introduction and Background
This section discusses the concepts of oral literature, Portuguese folktales, and the benefits of recreational reading and creative writing. It also introduces collectors of these stories and offers its services to readers, writers, and teachers.
Part II: Workshops and Exercises
Consisting of 20 workshops, this section offers recreational reading and creative writing activities based on 20 Portuguese fairy tales. The exercises are categorized according to levels B1 and B2 of the CEFR and QuaREPE, and strengthen skills such as reading aloud, text interpretation, planning, textualization, and revision.
Part III: Personal Creative Dictionary
This section encourages students to enrich their vocabulary by creating a personal dictionary. They supplement this with the definition of each new word in context, synonyms, and antonyms.

This material is primarily suitable for Portuguese-speaking students working on their language skills at levels B1 to B2. It is ideal for use in classrooms, self-study, and creative workshops.
