About the author

Stefan Maier is an expert in plasmonics and nanophotonics. After studying physics at TU Munich, he earned a Master’s and PhD at Caltech, where he conducted research on metal nanoparticles and plasmonic waveguides. Since 2004, he has been affiliated with the University of Bath, where he combines research and teaching within the Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials.
