Physics of Functional Materials is a textbook written by academics with more than 30 years of experience in teaching physics and materials science. This reference work provides a modern explanation of atoms, molecules, and various types of bonding in solids, with a focus on functional materials.

Description

This book covers functional materials extensively in all three states of matter and thus offers a unique, clear introduction that has not been provided in other publications. It promotes understanding of the theory behind functional materials without relying on complex mathematical quantum mechanical formulas.

  • Includes worked examples, exercises, and answers.
  • Suitable as a basis for further advanced studies.
  • Minimal use of complicated quantum mechanical equations to promote readability.
