About the author
Barbara Gail Montero is a professor of philosophy at the College of Staten Island and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her research focuses on the various notions of the 'body' as a physical substance and as a living, embodied experience. She has written, among other works, Thought in Action: Expertise and the Conscious Mind (2016) and is coauthor of Continuous Improvement: Intertwining Mind and Body in Athletic Expertise (2022).
