About the author

Manfred Bochmann is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry and Director of the Wolfson Materials and Catalysis Centre at the University of East Anglia. His research focuses on synthetic organometallic and coordination chemistry with applications in homogeneous catalysis. In 2003, he received the Royal Society of Chemistry Medal for Organometallic Chemistry, and he is the author of several Oxford Chemistry Primers and an Associate Editor of the journal Organometallics.
