New Practical Chinese Reader is a series of textbooks specifically designed for English-speaking students who want to learn Chinese. This series comprises 70 lessons spread across six volumes, covering levels from beginner to intermediate for three years of study. The books are compiled according to the new HSK guidelines and in consultation with the NOTCFL curriculum. The aim of this series is to develop students' communication skills in Chinese by studying language structure, usage, and related cultural knowledge, combined with training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
