In the dusty and desolate Santa Arena, survival is the only option. To truly live, people must cross the border to a place where wealth flourishes and stories of miracles are told in the cinemas. The dream of leaving, however, comes at a price: a thousand dollars for a smuggler. This sum is equivalent to two years of labor in the fetid tanks of the Chemical and Petrological Corporation. Despite the difficulties, Adriana decides to embark on the adventure, knowing that few survive the perilous journey. Those who fail risk death at the hands of armed border patrols or from exhaustion in the desert heat. Regardless of the obstacles, the hope of a better life drives many to this ultimate act of courage. Yet, even the most creative films cannot predict what awaits Adriana on the other side of the border.
