Summary of the story
Mademoiselle Madelon and Cathos, daughter and niece of Monsieur Gorgibus, reject the suitors La Grange and Du Croisy. The gentlemen are considered too coarse and their behavior not fitting the refined taste and elegant language of the ladies.
The revenge of the rejected men
