The Just Assassins by Albert Camus is a powerful drama about social justice and sacrifice. The setting is Moscow in 1905, where a group of revolutionary socialists plans an attack on Grand Duke Serge, the tyrant who rules the city. Kaliayev, a young terrorist and Dora’s beloved, will throw the bomb. Dora stays behind; she made the bombs for the attack. After Kaliayev is captured, he refuses clemency and is hanged. At the end, Dora prepares for the next attack to reunite with Kaliayev.
