The Captivity of Edmond Dantès
In 1815, Edmond Dantès is wrongfully imprisoned in the Château de If, the result of cunning intrigues by his rivals Fernand Mondego and Danglars. The ambitious magistrate Gérard de Villefort also plays a role. Within the walls of his cell, Dantès meets the wise Abbé Faria, who not only teaches him knowledge and insight but also helps him prepare his daring escape. After his escape, Dantès is determined to finally exact his rightful revenge.
