Product features
The edition combines two primary sources: Caxton's print from 1485 and the Winchester Manuscript, the latter of which is considered more authentic. The Norton Critical Edition introduces margins with paragraphing, annotations, and clear narrative hierarchies through the use of different typefaces and ornamented initial letters. In addition, the distinctive rubrication of proper names in blackletter is reproduced, supporting an authentic medieval reading experience.
