About the authors:
Helga Van Loo studied Germanic languages at KU Leuven and completed additional training in Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) didactics at the University of Antwerp. She teaches Dutch as a Second Language at the Leuven Language Institute and also teaches Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) didactics at the University of Antwerp. Besides her teaching, she develops innovative teaching materials and provides further training in both national and international contexts.
Peter Schoenaerts studied Language and Literature (Dutch and English) and drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He has worked on various Dutch language textbooks and publications, including as a language expert for the Dutch Language Union (NVT). Since 2001, he has created theater productions for non-Dutch speakers and is currently the day-to-day manager of 'Theater van A tot Z' and editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine Humo.
