About the author
Juliette Atkinson is an Associate Professor of English at University College London. She has written, among other works, Victorian Biography Reconsidered (2010) and French Novels and the Victorians (2017). In addition, she has done editorial work for Oxford World's Classics editions of, among others, The Mill on the Floss and Silas Marner.
