Interfacial Science: An Introduction Geoffrey Barnes is an accessible textbook that introduces readers to the chemistry of interfaces, a field with increasing relevance due to the rise of nanoscience. Published by Oxford University Press, this book is aimed at students and researchers in chemistry and related disciplines at universities.

Summary

This text examines the physical and chemical properties of various interfaces, such as liquid/gas, solid/gas, and liquid/liquid, as well as biological interfaces, one of the most dynamic areas of research. With clear explanations of essential mathematical and physical concepts, the book makes the complex themes surrounding interfacial science easily accessible. It therefore supports understanding and the applicability of this knowledge in, among other areas, nanotechnology and biosciences.
