About the author

David Streiner is a clinical psychologist and emeritus professor at McMaster University and the University of Toronto. He has more than 400 publications and nine books to his name, and in 2022 he was elected a member of the Canadian Academy of Health Services.

Geoff Norman, emeritus professor of clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at McMaster University, has published more than 300 articles and 30 books. He is a member of the Royal Society of Canada and has received numerous awards.
