Hayat's family visits a thrift store and discovers a selection of bicycles. Her children, Abdel, Marwan, and Layla, as well as her husband, already have bikes. However, Hayat doesn't own a bike and hasn't learned to ride one. As she walks past a row of bicycles, she pauses to think that even though the bikes aren't new, they still look very appealing. The memory of still not being able to ride a bike plays in her mind as she admires the bikes.
