Summary
The year is 1141, in the midst of an ongoing civil war. The sheriff of Shropshire is captured, after which a prisoner exchange is prepared in which Elis, a young Welshman, is involved.
Story
When the sheriff is brought to the abbey after his exchange, he is murdered. Elis comes under suspicion, especially because he is in love with the sheriff's daughter.
