About the authors
Franco Amatori is Professor of Economic History and head of the Institute of Economic History at Bocconi University. He has extensive expertise in Italian and international business history. Andrea Colli, also affiliated with Bocconi University, has specialized in the structure and evolution of small and medium-sized enterprises and the role of family businesses in economic growth. In 2008, he received the Harold Williamson Prize for promising business historians.
