The story is set in 40 AD, in the Au Lac region of ancient Vietnam. Trung Trac and Trung Nhi, two sisters of a Vietnamese lord, fill their days with training and traditions. Where Trung Trac is disciplined and responsible, Trung Nhi is free-spirited and lively. Oppressed by the Han empire, they must fight for their culture and freedom. After the execution of their father, they lead a women's army to liberate their people and restore independence.
