A growing threat that must be destroyed
Five years ago, Eli Glinn, head of Effective Engineering Solutions, led a mission to salvage the largest meteorite ever found from an island off South America. The mission failed when their ship, the Rolvaag, sank during a storm in Antarctic waters. One hundred and fourteen crew members drowned, and Glinn was paralyzed.
The meteorite turned out not to be an ordinary rock, but a complex organism from space. This organism has implanted itself on the seabed, two miles below the surface, and is still growing. If it is not destroyed, the planet is doomed.
Now the task falls to Gideon Crew and his team to stop this threat using his expertise in nuclear weapons. However, the organism has a will of its own and is not easily eradicated.
