A new edition of the novel has been released to coincide with the release of the animated film "My Courgette Life." It received considerable attention at the Cannes Film Festival and has already won prestigious awards at festivals in Angoulême, Annecy, and Melbourne. It has even been nominated for an Oscar! The story begins with Courgette, a nine-year-old boy, who says: "Ever since I was little, I've wanted to kill the sky because of Mom. She often says: 'The sky, my Courgette, is big to remind us that we are nothing beneath it.'" This introduction leads to a dramatic event: Courgette accidentally kills his mother. He is then placed in a shelter, where he discovers friendship and experiences the first signs of childhood love. Amid laughter and tears, naiveté and emotion, his life lesson begins.
