John H. Lienhard IV is Emeritus M. D. Anderson Professor of Technology and Culture at the University of Houston. John H. Lienhard V is Abdul Latif Jameel Professor of Water and director of several laboratories at MIT. His research focuses especially on water purification, desalination, and heat and mass transfer within thermodynamics.
