About the author
Dan Beard, known here by his real name Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, was an influential American writer. He was born in 1835 and grew up in Missouri. His experiences as a printer, gold prospector, and journalist formed the basis for his literary work. Twain is often regarded as the father of American literature and died in 1910 after a life filled with travel and literary highlights.
