Contents of the Livre de l'élève:
The Livre de l'élève contains an introductory unit and twelve regular units. Each unit begins with an introductory page that prepares students for the topic by activating their prior knowledge. The learning objectives are included here. The material is then divided into six pages, divided into Part A and Part B. Important language functions and grammatical topics are displayed in colored boxes. Students regularly complete charts or rules.
Each chapter links to supplementary exercises in the Exercise Book. In the "Pour finir" exercise, students apply their acquired knowledge to everyday situations, helping them build a portfolio. In "Mon bilan" (My balance), students can evaluate their progress and learning process.
"Balades en France" offers the opportunity to explore different regions of France with stories from locals. The "Résumé" summarizes the language functions and grammar learned. The three Savoir-faire-units (4, 8, and 12) serve as a review of previously learned material. Learning strategies are also covered, and vocabulary is explored through exercises and games, supplemented with cultural information.
At the back of the book, you'll find a grammar overview, verbs, transcriptions of listening texts, and a French-Dutch-English vocabulary list by unit. There's a separate column where students can translate words into their native language.
