The learning method offers a dynamic and active learning process in three steps: comprehension, practice, and production. This allows students to quickly learn to communicate in French, using various "triggering" documents that include written, audio, and visual material. In addition to verbal communication, the program also focuses on non-verbal communication and cultural attitudes, and offers an introduction to French or French-speaking culture.

Texto 2 is specifically designed for older teenagers and adults at CEFR level A2. After completing Texto 2, students will be prepared for the DELF A2 exam.

The structure consists of a student book with an accompanying workbook that tracks progress and reading paths. This workbook reinforces knowledge through various activities focused on grammar, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary, phonetics, and communication. Each chapter contains "Faits et gestes/Culture" pages that address both nonverbal communication and cultural differences. Furthermore, assessments are provided at the end of each chapter, including a full DELF exam and a portfolio.

The series is practical in design, with a clear lesson structure where each lesson corresponds to a double-page spread. Each lesson uses multiple "trigger" documents—written, oral, or visual—to actively explore the language and perform practical tasks. Level 3 offers four learning lessons per file and provides rich multimedia content, including audio, videos, and a digitally enhanced student handbook.

A unique approach is presented with an audio series accompanied by photos, allowing teachers to insert videos if desired. Levels 1 and 2 offer a "Faits et Gestes" page to explore non-verbal communication and cultural attitudes. In addition, a "Culture" page, filled with authentic documents, introduces students to aspects of French or Francophone culture that relate to the chapter. This Intertaal methodology is supported by a comprehensive multimedia approach, including free access to the videos via TV5MONDE.
