Communicative Course Portuguese
The monolingual and communicative Portuguese course is designed to actively help students master the language. The package includes both the textbook and workbook for "Português XXI – nova edição 3." This textbook takes you to level B1 of the CEFR and, like the previous series, consists of 12 chapters (units) and 4 review lessons.
Content and Structure
Each unit begins with an introductory page presenting the learning objectives. Various receptive and productive exercises address and deepen grammatical and lexical topics. At the end of each chapter, you'll find pronunciation exercises and a grammar overview. The final two chapters focus on Brazil and Portuguese-speaking African countries, including East Timor, addressing both linguistic differences with European Portuguese and sociocultural aspects.
The workbook follows the same structure as the textbook, with 12 chapters and primarily consists of fill-in-the-blank exercises. Solutions to the exercises are available at the back of the book, as are the solutions to the review lessons from the textbook.
Suitable for Education and Self-study
This updated, monolingual Portuguese course enables students to actively learn the language and is suitable for both classroom and independent study. The series consists of three parts, each containing 120 hours of material (classes and independent study). It follows the latest Portuguese spelling rules.
