Modern Standard Arabic Dictionary
This Modern Standard Arabic dictionary was developed under the auspices of the Commission for Lexicographic Translation Services (CLVV), a collaborative initiative of the Flemish and Dutch governments. The dictionary was compiled at the Catholic University of Leuven with guidance from renowned Arabic scholars from the Netherlands and Flanders.

For the Arabic-Dutch section, various written and spoken sources from various Arab countries have been collected and analyzed over the years. This section contains approximately 17,000 entries, with detailed information on derived meanings and grammatical explanations, as well as clear examples from contemporary practice.
First Systematically Compiled Dictionary
Together with the Dutch-Arabic Dictionary, this forms the first systematically compiled Arabic dictionary aimed at education and daily use, and is suitable for self-study by those interested in the Dutch language area. It is intended for all levels, from beginner to advanced (A1-C2).
Eminent Employees
Professor Dr. Mark van Mol, a specialist in the Arabic language and working at the Catholic University of Leuven, and Koen Berghman, a research associate at the same institution, played an important role in the creation of this work.
