This paper is intended as a tool for improving proficiency in Italian, especially for those involved in teaching Italian as a foreign language (LS). It offers in-depth study through the use of scientifically developed methods and constant reference to G. Sciarone's Vocabolario Fondamentale della Lingua Italiana. For each preposition, we offer the widest possible range of situations, examining not only individual words but also various expressions based on usage and frequency. Despite the brevity of the situations created, we ensure that prepositions are placed in the most common everyday contexts. For phraseology, micro-dialogues have been designed that, through contrast or analogy, help make difficult-to-interpret expressions more comprehensible.
