This teaching aid comes from the collection 'Techniques et pratiques de classe' and is a manual for teachers and prospective teachers of French as a foreign language.

La phonétique : audition, correction, prononciation aims to:

to present the evolution of French phonetics and explain its current state;

to determine what, depending on the student's level, is essential to correct in a phonetics lesson and how to achieve this.

In a first theoretical part:

the phonological system of modern French explained (vowels, consonants and prosody) and inventoried all the features to be studied;

various means were presented to correct the students.

A summary table shows the different objectives to be achieved according to the levels defined by the CEFR.

The second part, presented in the form of cards, helps teachers with listening, pronunciation and correction exercises.

These activities are built from a corpus of diverse pedagogical and authentic documents, most of which are included on the accompanying audio CD.
