Hopscotch is a six-part primary series that follows an accessible and traditional methodology. The emphasis in the early grades is on speaking and listening. From Grade 3 onward, reading and writing are explicitly introduced. With engaging National Geographic photos and content that sparks young learners' imaginations, Hopscotch introduces language and skills through a fun and friendly cast of characters—a boy, a girl, a crocodile, a parrot, and a bear. Students develop communication skills first before focusing on reading and writing. Project work encourages collaboration and problem-solving. Graphic novels introduce natural language and vocabulary. Online downloads provide support for teaching students with special needs. Hopscotch is suitable for primary education and effectively promotes the learning of language skills in a playful way.
