Originally developed by the Dutch Second Language Department of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, this method was adapted for Dutch-speaking students in Belgium by Peter Schoenaerts. With a background in Linguistics and Literature (Dutch and English) and a drama degree at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Peter Schoenaerts has contributed to various language methods and publications. He has also taught at the Instituut voor Levende Talen (Institute for Living Languages) in Leuven and at 't Klokhuis in New Jersey and New York. He currently supports the study of Dutch worldwide at the Taaluniecentrum NVT (Dutch Language Union Centre) in Brussels.
