This elevboken contains 12 chapters with themes relevant to adult students who plan to settle in Sweden. Students will gain insight into Swedish values and customs, current events, and functional language use that can be applied from the very first lesson. Each chapter has an increasing level of difficulty within the given topics, but all chapters can also be used independently, offering flexibility for both students and teachers with continuous enrollment.
A clear structure supports the student
Each chapter has a clear structure with recurring elements: clear objectives at the beginning, prior knowledge and strategies for each skill, as well as grammar and digital skills. The skills are organized according to the Civic Integration curriculum (SFI) and include reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written skills, and oral interaction and production. Furthermore, in each chapter, students learn to interpret texts and images, such as diagrams and signs. By reading and listening to short dialogues in each chapter, they improve their pronunciation.
