This English-language learning method offers a clear structure and is suitable for classroom use, professional development, and independent study. The material is aimed at beginners to intermediate learners and takes students to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in three sections.
Structure and Content
The textbook/workbook consists of 14 units, introduced by a "Welcome" chapter and concluded by a "See You" chapter. Each unit focuses on a specific theme and is divided into two parts, A and B. Each part contains enough material for a 90-minute lesson, with two pages of exercises to do at home. These exercises focus on vocabulary, speech acts, grammar, writing, and reading skills.
After units 3, 6, 9, 12, and 14, there's a comprehensive Review page with lesson exercises and games. A short exercise at the end of each unit helps students monitor their progress. At fairway-online.nl, students can perform a Self-Check using multiple-choice questions after every three units.
At the back of the book there is a checklist based on levels A1, A2, or B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Fairway New is the updated edition of the successful Fairway method. This edition features a modern layout with fresh colors, updated text, and photos. Additional grammar exercises follow the explanations in a Grammar Box. The Reading for Fun section is integrated into the textbook for classroom use. The workbook includes key words with space for translations.
Every three units there is a Review unit; the Self-checks are available online.
