Monolingual Method German A1 for Secondary Education

This method offers a combination of communicative and grammatical approaches. The Kursbuch is clearly and concisely structured and consists of ten lessons covering everyday situations such as leisure time, family, and home. Two special grammar lessons are included that practice grammar in a playful way.

Lesson structure

Each lesson consists of sections A, B and C, which cover both communication and grammar.

After part C follow:

A pronunciation section with explanations and exercises.

From lesson 2 onwards a grammar overview with exercises.

From lesson 2 onwards, a vocabulary list with important new terms.

A Landeskunde section with short project assignments.

A Zwischenstopp with repetition exercises.

Interactive Materials

A Video Station has been added after lessons 3, 5, 8, and 10. This includes a short film about German youth, accompanied by two pages of questions and exercises. Each video is available in two versions: with and without German subtitles.
