At 8 a.m. in New York, an unexpected duo awakens in Central Park: Alice, a young policewoman from Paris, and Gabriel, an American jazz pianist. To their dismay, they find themselves handcuffed to each other while sitting on a bench. Neither knows the other and has no recollection of their encounter. The previous evening, Alice had been partying with her friends on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, while Gabriel played piano in a club in Dublin.
