He is a Fellow of the ASME and AIAA and was elected in 1995 to the National Academy of Engineering. Choon Sooi Tan received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently a Senior Research Engineer in the Gas Turbine: Laboratory at MIT. Martin B.
